*POSTPONED* - Escape the Room at Escape Room LA: The Pyramid

Channel your inner Indiana Jones and join a small group of alumni as they attempt to escape... The Pyramid!

**Please note this event is currently postponed - new date is TBD**

Scav, Kuvia, Life of the Mind, if University of Chicago alumni are known for anything it is their love of intellectual challenges. What better way to exercise those neurons than with an escape room experience! Channel your inner thrill-seeking, adventure-loving, famous University of Chicago archeologist and join a small group of alumni in their attempt to escape from The Pyramid. Attendees will have to work together to solve challenging puzzles within an hour time limit. This particular escape room has been rated an 8/10 in terms of difficulty, so we’ll need all alumni attendees at the top of their game to make it out.

About this particular escape room from the Escape Room L.A. website:
“Set out on an expedition to a hidden jungle pyramid in search of The Mask of the Jade Warrior, a fabled lost treasure of the Maya. The mask is hidden in a secret tomb deep within the ancient pyramid. But to find it, you must solve the pyramid’s perplexing puzzles, riddles and challenges. Will you find the jade mask and escape? Or will you be trapped inside forever?”

We are sorry, but children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the escape room. Children under 16 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult, and children under 18 years old will have to have a parent or guardian sign an Escape Room L.A. waiver to participate.

More information about the escape room can be found under the site’s F.A.Q.: https://www.escaperoomla.com/rulesfaqs

Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive! There will be a pre-start time orientation that begins promptly at 3:20 pm.

Transportation and Parking: Street and pay lot parking is available in the surrounding area. Escape Room L.A. has provided the following parking map, though it may be out of date: https://www.escaperoomla.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/parking-map.pdf .

Public Transportation is also available, the closest metro stops are 7th Street/Metro Center or Pershing Square on the Metro Purple Line.

For those interested in joining your fellow alumni for a self-host (hopefully celebratory) dinner, the event host will take a group over to the famous Cole's French Dip just up the street from Escape Room L.A. immediately following the event.
