MEXICAN MURALISM AND CHINA'S 20TH CENTURY PUBLIC ART MOVEMENT
Trans-Pacific Connections, Aesthetics of the Cultural Revolution, and Present Legacy
Meet with Christina Yu Yu (PhD'11), Executive Director of the USC Pacific Asia Museum, and enjoy an in-depth look at the "Winds of Fusang" special exhibition chronicling the enduring cultural exchange between influential artists of Mexico and China.
We'll start with a tour of works on display from the permanent collection in the museum's newly renovated galleries. We'll then explore a visually-stunning history of artistic dialogue through a rare collection of public and private artworks from across the U.S., China, and Latin America in the "Winds of Fusang" show.
Please register no later than the end of Thursday, April 19.
If you have any questions, please contact event host Francisco Arechiga AB'06 at firstname.lastname@example.org; (626) 658-1788.
